Become a Certified Tone Circle™ Facilitator

Awaken the healing power of your voice—and help others do the same.

The Program

The Tone Circle Facilitator training program is an immersive journey for teachers, healers, and community builders who feel called to guide healing vocal meditation and community connection. Through this 5-module program, you’ll learn how to lead simple, powerful vocal toning circles in the standard Tone Circle format that soothe the nervous system, invite authentic expression, and rekindle a sense of shared harmony. Y

ou don’t have to be a musician—just someone who believes in the transformational power of the human voice to calm, regulate, and restore. With a grounded framework, 1:1 mentor support, flexible scheduling, and ongoing partnership opportunities, you’ll quickly gain the confidence and clarity you need to bring this work into your community in a way that feels natural, sustainable, and deeply aligned.

Module 1: Common Grounding

Explore the origins, foundations, purpose, and guiding principles of Tone Circle™ and how they sync with and differ from more traditional vocal meditation practices. Together, we’ll examine the multi-dimensional importance of the empowered human voice—regardless of skill, training, or perceived beauty—and how it serves as an instrument for transformation. You’ll learn how vocal toning can be applied for holistic rest and release, repair and rejuvenation, empowerment, intention-setting, and more, and discover how Tone Circle is working to share and normalize simple, practical tools for transformation through vocal empowerment.

Module 2: Your Embodied Voice

Every voice is unique, and every sound has a place. Throughout history, frequency, pitch, harmony, rhythm, and dynamics have all been used—for better or worse—to influence the mind, body, and subtle energy field. In this module, you’ll learn to harness the power of the human voice to create a safe, supportive, and inclusive container that nurtures the whole person. Together, we’ll explore a range of expressive vocal techniques, both direct and subtle, and how to apply them when leading groups of singing humans.

Module 3: Empowering Others’ Vocal Journeys

Where your voice leads, others will follow. Your voice-heart coherence sets the tone (pun intended!) for your whole event. Learn when and how to encourage ease, comfort, and invite vocal safety and longevity for others' vocal toning practice. We’ll also touch on techniques for holding space for emotional release, helping others feel seen, heard, understood, and cared for. You’ll practice validating and witnessing with compassion and empathy for individuals in every stage of vocal awakening, learning to navigate moments when things don’t go as planned, while also empowering those who discover, often to their own surprise, “Whoa—I actually can and love to sing!”

Module 4: Bringing It All Together

In this practicum module, you’ll facilitate your own mini Tone Circle event in a supportive, low-stakes environment and receive constructive feedback from your peers. Develop confidence in guiding participants from arrival through closing—welcoming attendees, how to speak clearly about the practice, answer questions, lead grounding vocal warm-ups, invite individual and group intentions, and more—all while creating a flow that helps every participant feel included and at ease. You’ll also gain hands-on experience and recommendations for practical setup, lighting, and implementing the energetic container for an atmosphere of calm and cohesion from start to finish.

Module 5: The Operations of Crafting Your Event

Work with a mentor to prepare for independent facilitation with practical training in event management and ongoing growth. Learn how facilitators and administration partner to find venues, setup and produce events, and use the simple ticketing app for participant check-in and on-site ticket sales. We'll also cover how to coordinate with substitute facilitator network to get help when you need it. This final module supports your transition from trainee to confident event leader, ready to bring a Tone Circle™ meditation event to your community.

Some trainings leave you hanging.

That's not how we do it at Tone Circle.

Questions?

We've got you.

Do I need to have singing experience? No musical experience is necessary to lead a tone circle. Though backgrounds in singing or energetic and sound healing practices certainly support and enhance facilitation.

Do I need to have crystal singing bowls? No, you can facilitate vocal toning meditations in a few different ways! Whether they're too heavy or too expensive or both, we'll walk you through effective alternatives to a set of crystal singing bowls. If you'd like to purchase one (or a set), we'll share resources for that, too.

How long is the training? About 20 total hours of hours of foundational training, over the course of two full days and a midway virtual meetup. Scheduling is coordinated based on the unique needs of your cohort. Training can move as fast as a single weekend, or be spread out on multiple days.

What's required for certification? Completion of Level 1 Certification requires 20h of guided training and attendance of 5 public Tone Circle singing meditations run by a certified facilitator. All certification requirements must be completed within a maximum of 6 months.

How do I partner with Tone Circle after training? If you want to lead the Tone Circle singing meditation format, we partner with certified Tone Circle facilitators as official contractors. Facilitators are fully empowered to simply lead event operations while Tone Circle administrative services spearhead venue relations, as well as event marketing, sales, and facilitator payouts.

Level 1: Certified Tone Circle Facilitator
Certified facilitators are trained to lead Tone Circle events in the core tried-and-true formats. Leading at least one Tone Circle per month keeps you active (as opposed to alternate, or substitute facilitator) and ensures you continue receiving the full range of facilitator benefits.

Level 2: Lead Tone Circle Facilitator
Lead facilitators are experienced event leaders who have completed Level 2 Vocal Alchemy training. At this stage, you may collaborate with senior facilitators to propose, develop, and lead new themed toning meditation formats.

Level 3: Senior Tone Circle Facilitator & Mentor
Senior facilitators are seasoned leaders and visionaries who help train and guide new facilitators. They carry the Tone Circle lineage forward, nurturing both the quality of facilitation and the growth of our shared community.
